Lineman Wants to Visit Boulder

Colorado probably wants one to two more offensive lineman in this class and one to two defensive tackles as well. A player that fits both those molds is Norris Malele. High School: Carson

Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, Washington, Cal, Oregon State, Wyoming, Utah, Utah State, and Fresno State are his current offers. However, schools like Colorado, Notre Dame, and Tennessee are also hot on his trail. He currently has two visits scheduled.

"I am going to Cal on December 5th and Arizona on December 12th. I would also like to visit Colorado, and maybe Tenessee or Notre Dame."

Norris has no favorite at this time but did have glowing remarks about the Buffs.

"I like the program out there Gary Barnett has going. They have a powerhouse offense that I think I would fit perfectly into. I love the way their program plays. Coach Wilson told me they like me at o-line but that I would also get a shot at d-line. Plus, a chance to play in the Big 12 is something I am really interested in."

Norris says that schools are split on where they like him. Some see him on defense and some on offense. Where does he prefer?

"I like defense but it really doesn't matter. I will play anywhere. It just depends on what school I go to on where I play. Schools like my speed and strength for defense but also like my footwork and quickness for offense."

Malele says the schools recruiting him the hardest right now include Arizona, Washington, Cal, and UCLA.

Carson High is 2-1 on the season and Norris has 19 tackles, with six of them for losses, and two sacks thus far. His squad takes on Culver West next and then face-off against Los Alamitos.

Norris carries a 2.7 overall GPA and scored a 910 on his SAT but will take it again for personal goals. Right now he is thinking of majoring in Communications or Broadcast Networking.
