40 time: 4.5
From: Aurora, Colorado High School: Grandview
Last year Ryan had lead the Wolves to a 7-0 start and a #4 ranking before getting hurt. Grandview then proceeded to lose their next four including a first round playoff loss. Well, this year Grandview is in the same place, 8-0 and ranked #2. They are playing Mullen for first place in the Centennial conference, and a potential first round bye in the playoffs.
Ryan is real excited he is playing for such a good team. Ryan seems very composed in preparing for the game.
"We are going to line up and play our style of football. I need to get Aubrey (Quarles WR Soph) the ball and let him make plays. He is real young but he can play."
On his injuries and play thus far.
"I have been banged up for the last two years, but our weights program has really helped me stay healthy. I am benching 340lbs and just trying to improve every week. If I would have taken some of these hits I have this year, last year, I probably would have been out. I am feeling the best I have in a long time and just ready to go out and play."
Ryan is still strong on Colorado and looking forward to enrolling for spring ball. Ryan will be on campus on January 12 for practice and classes. Not many schools are trying to contact him lately due to his strong commit to Colorado, but says UCLA has been calling. Ryan talks to coach Watson every Thursday.
A final note: Walters only has 1 interception in 134 attempts.
If you can come out Friday night to see five or six DI prospects, you should. This is going to be a great game!
