Women's Hoops Signs Three

University of Colorado women's basketball team will add a trio of recruits to next year's roster after receiving three letters on intent from two domestic and one international prospect on Wednesday.

6-foot-4 center Kara Richards headlines a small, but solid class. The Graham, Texas native, who was rated No. 41 among high school prospects by All-Star Girls Report, was heavily sought after by Texas Tech, Iowa State, Stanford, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Arizona and Texas Christian before news of her intentions became public early last week.

Also signed this week is 6-2 forward Jackie McFarland of Derby, Kan. Jackie's sister Jessica plays for Kansas State and the younger McFarland chose CU over joining the Wildcats.

Finally, 6-2 Serbian guard Jasmina Ilic adds international flavor to CU's pre-season recruiting class. Ilic is rumored to be the youngest player ever to play for the Serbian national team.
