"I could really go either way with it," said Patrick in regards to the possibility of him commiting after he trips to Boulder. "I could really like what I see, come back and commit. I am not sure though, I may not settle on one place until I see them all."
Those other places Patrick plans on seeing include Utah December 5th and Kansas, for sure. He had a weekend visit scheduled to the Jayhawks this past weekend but had a playoff game. He figures he will re-schedule that visit for December. He might also take a trip to Missouri in December. He has plenty of other options to choose from for his final trip. Williams claims 14 offers including scholarships from CU, Utah, Purdue, Missouri, Colorado State, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Syracuse.
Coach Wilson is recruiting him for the Buffs.
"I used to watch Colorado play when Kordell(Stewart) was there so I am familiar with them. I also know of a couple of guys that go there now from the metroplex, Dominique Brooks and Terrence Wheatley. I followed their play last year."
Patrick says it wouldn't matter to him if he left Texas for school and his parents wouldn't mind either. In fact, his parents are the ones setting most of his trips although they will not go on them in most cases. They will not be accompanying him when he trips to Boulder this weekend.
Williams played in a two-quarterback system at DeSoto and also played receiver. His team lost their final game yesterday in the second round of the playoffs. A 21-19 decision versus Lubbock Monterey.
Most schools see Patrick as an athlete but Colorado is recruiting him specifically at receiver. He does not prefer any position over another.
"It doesn't matter to me where I play. Wherever I can get on the field the fastest and contribute is fine by me."
He drove to Waco to see CU play this year so the NU game will be his second time seeing the Buffs live on the season.
Patrick carries a 3.65 core GPA and scored an 18 on his ACT. He would like to major in Sports Management.
