After coach Barnett told him that he wanted him to be a part of a national championship run his sophomore season Charlie told him that he will do everything he can to get CU to that point. We get the full details of his visit.

"Man, it was great, everything was just great," said Sherman. "My host was Tyler Littlehales and he just kind of showed me around. I got to meet all of the coaches and I love all of them. They are a bunch of great guys."

Sherman took part in what could prove to be an epic conversation with Coach Barnett.

"He told me that he plans on getting a national title in my sophomore year and I told him I would try my hardest to get us that national championship."

Sherman will try his hand at receiver first when he comes to Boulder even though he had a very successful year at quarterback for Foothill High. He finished with 1,125 yards rushing with 17 touchdowns, and also had 700 yards passing with eight touchdowns. He, just like another CU hopeful that was in town over the weekend, Reggie Foster, ran the option for his team.

"We were kind of bragging about who posted better stats," laughed Charlie.

Sherman says that since commiting to Colorado he has seen a huge increase in volume of phone calls. He attributes this not only to the fact that he committed to a top program, but also because he had recently sent out his highlight video.

Charlie had an in-home visit with Coach Gilmore of CU last night.
