"Oh yeah, I'll be back there this Spring. I am living in a house with Brandon Caesar and Mark Fenton in Boulder right now. Classes get started for me at CU January 12th."

Gerett earned honorable mention all-conference honors this year after racking up 50 tackles and three interceptions. One of which he returned for a touchdown. He completed 15 class hours over the fall and did so with a 3.0 GPA.

He will now have three years to play three at Colorado.

We asked him about another classmate of his, Donald Burgs, to see if he knew what was going on with him.

"Donald came up to Garden City but he didn't make the team and then went to Western Arizona. I am not sure what is goig on with him now."

Only 12 out-of-state guys can make the Garden City team for each fall of which Gerett was one of.

Gerett said his main missions when he gets to CU again in a couple weeks are to keep his grades up and stay out of trouble. He is expected to compete for a starting corner spot this Spring.
