Tavita Thompson Drops Colorado

The Tavita Thompson saga has taken many a twist the past few weeks but now everything appears to be clearer. After taking a weekend visit to Arizona, Thompson says he will now decide between UA and Oregon State. He tells Buffcountry.com why Colorado has been dropped.

Height: 6-6
Weight: 300

Bench: 300
From: Honolulu, Hawaii
High School: St. Louis

"I have dropped Colorado. I don't like the whole sex scandal thing. When the Governor of the state is saying stuff about them then you know it can't be good. I will decide between Arizona and Oregon State. I had a good visit to Arizona and now just need to sit down with my family and talk."

Thompson was first team all-state this year by both the Honolulu Advisor and the Star-Bulletin.

Arizona and Oregon State like him on the defensive side of the ball and he says he has no preference. Colorado liked him for offensive line.

"Defense is cool. A lot of people tell me that in the long run I will be an offensive tackle but I am fine with playing defense. I don't care where I play. If the coaches asked me to drop 100 pounds and be a free safety I would do it."

Tavita says that he will decide tomorrow between the two schools.
