You Win Some, You Lose Some

On a day when Colorado welcomed 19 new recruits, they also said goodbye to one from last year. Kharylake Martin, a freshman offensive lineman from Dayton, Texas has decided to transfer. Buff Country caught up with Martin to find out why he left Colorado and where he is transferring to.

Colorado got in on Kharylake Martin late last year and his commitment put the finishing touches on a solid class.

Coming out of Texas he was a first team all-state player and considered one of the five best offensive line prospects in the state by many services. But, his services will no longer be rendered at Colorado because he left about three weeks ago.

"Boulder was a nice place to visit, but it was not a great place to live," said Martin from his home in Dayton, Texas.

There had been rumblings that Martin left because of disagreements with the coaching staff and/or strength staff in Boulder. Kharylake says that everything is fine on that front.

"There are no conflicts between me and the staff there. Coach Borbs and I are in good standing."

Martin has decided to transfer to Stephen F. Austin.
