"I like Colorado a lot because they run the ball. They are my early leader, but right behind them is UCLA. Those are really the main two. I also like Nebraska," explained Greer.

Nicknamed "Slash" for his slashing running style, Greer wants to keep his options open this recruiting season.

"I talked to Coach Wristen and Barnett today and they offered me. They wanted me to commit, but I told them I wanted to see what else was out there and told them that hopefully they will still be interested if I decided to look around. They said they would definitely still be interested."

Some other schools Maurice is looking at are USC, Michigan, Oregon, Arizona State, and Missouri. His coaches are sending his highlight film to all of these schools soon.

Maurice will attend Colorado's junior day February 28th with some of his teammates. He says he will also try to attend the CU camp this summer. He had already attended it as a sophomore. Greer will also try to make the San Diego State Nike Camp.

He says that ever since he was a freshman he only thought of one thing when running the ball.

"My freshman running backs coach always used to say to run the ball with bad intentions and I have always stuck by that rule."

He ran for over 1,000 yards last year and also reached the endzone 35 times. Greer is also an accomplished track star with a high jump best of 10 feet, one inch.

Maurice carries a 2.5 core GPA and will take his SAT test at the end of this month.
