Ryan McKinley will be one the best players in Colorado next year. He had 52 tackles and seven sacks as a junior on his way to being named second team all-conference. "I have heard from Colorado, but I would never even think of going there. My Father played at Nebraska and I have been a life-long Husker fan."

His father, Kim McKinley, was a defensive tackle in Lincoln in the early 70's.

He has the Huskers out in front early over UCLA, Oklahoma, Northern Colorado, and Colorado State.

Ryan has heard from Nebraska, CU, CSU, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, Michigan, and Minnesota.

He doubles as an end and an offensive tackle at Arvada, but he is pretty sure he will be recruited for defense and that is where he prefers to play.

McKinley believes he has mnay qualities on the field.

"I have good leadership skills. I work with my teammates and I always try to be the best I can and want them to be that way, too. I always want to win and I always stay positive."

Head Coach at Arvada High Bob Bozied says of Ryan, "This is a big year for him. He is very capable of taking on the challenge. He plays hard and he has a lot of intensity."

Ryan carries a 3.72 core GPA and will take his tests in March and April. He would like to major in Computer Animation or Structural Engineering.
