"I like the success Colorado has had in the past," Geer commented on why he likes the Buffs. "They had a down year last year and have a lot of weird stuff going on there now, but I have always liked them. I actually went to the Fiesta Bowl a couple of years ago and have been a fan since I was a kid."

Geer says that CU was one his favorite teams growing up. He also has always liked the in-state CSU Rams. Especially now since his older sister attends school in Fort Collins.

Other schools on Geer's early list include Arizona State, Notre Dame, and Oregon.

Riar says he will attend the CU summer camp and two more yet to be decided.

When asked to list his strengths on the field he responded, "I always put the ball in the hands of the right people. I am a good leader and I lead by example. I am always up for the game."

Geer says that he would like to stay as a signal caller but he could also move to defense and play linebacker. He has played at the spot before. Riar missed half of his junior season with a shoulder separation, but says he is fine now.

Fruita Monument Head Coach Bill Moore says of Riar, "He is very strong and athletic. He can throw the ball 70 yards in the air."

Geer has a 3.0 core GPA and will take his ACT in April. He is undecided on a major.
