"They have always been a winning program and every time I watch them they play well," says Ryan. "I also love the Big 12."

The Buffs, Nebraska, and Oregon are his current top three.

Tyler is currently ranked as the number one Wrestler in the state in the 215 pound class. He is 31-1 on the year.

"My one loss came a week after the football season ended. It was a double overtime loss to an opponent that I went up against later in the season and his coach had him forfeit the match."

Ryan is now preparing himself for the state finals coming up shortly.

He thinks he will end up on defense in college. Most likely at an outside linebacker spot. He tells us his strengths as a player.

"I am good at staying on my feet when I play football and I think that comes from my wrestling background. I am also real quick off the ball."

Fruita Monument Head Coach Bill Moore says of Ryan, "He is a strong, quick player that is very hard to block."

Tyler carries a 3.65 core GPA and will take his ACT April 3rd. He would like to major in Engineering.
