His efforts earned him first team all-conference, second team all-city, and honorable mention all state honors as a junior.

He has received early letters from CU, Arizona State, Arizona, and Northern Arizona.

ASU and CU are in his early top five.

"I like San Diego State, Colorado, Oregon, UCLA, and Arizona State. Oregon is probably my leader."

When asked what he likes about Colorado, Jaime Cota responded, "They always play a pretty tough schedule and they seem to have good coaches there. They have done pretty well on the field lately."

Cota plans on camping in Boulder, Tempe, and his father is planning on signing him up for the Texas summer camp as well.

He lists his strengths on the field as his quick release, pocket presence, and ability to read defenses.

Sunnyside Head Coach Richard Sanchez says of Jaime, "He is a good athlete that throws the ball well. He has a very nice release on his throws."

He carries a 3.0 core GPA and is taking his SAT March 17th. Cota is undecided on a major.
