"I really like Missouri a lot," said Freeny. "I also like Colorado and Colorado State. Fort Lewis and Northern Colorado are a couple of the other schools I am looking at."

Freeny had a nine rushes for 160 yards and six catches for 60 yards on offense as a junior. He also had 45 tackles and four interceptions on defense. He led his teams in int's and he was also the back-up quarterback.

"I am able to read defense and offenses very well since I have played on both sides of the ball. I have been playing football since a very young age. I have good awareness on the field."

Arvada Head Coach Bob Bozied says of Freeny, "His 40 time is not the greatest, but he plays a lot faster. He is a great team player and a very good athlete. He will be our quarterback and strong safety next year. He is a valuable asset to us at the quarterback position because he is a double-threat kind of player."

Arvada High does a 7-on-7 tournament every year with a school from South Dakota so that is his only plan for the summer as of now.

Freeny carries a 3.6 core GPA and will take his ACT in April. He is looking for a career in Criminal Investigation.
