From: Denver, Colorado
High School: Mullen

Levy's little brother is Hagan's Son.

"I really like Darian," said Levy. "I grew up around him so I know him well."

Levy likes CU along with a host of other schools. For football he likes CU, Miami, Michigan, and Kansas State. He likes Texas Tech and Stanford for basketball and football. For basketball only he likes Utah, Denver University, Marquette, Wichita State, and Oral Roberts.

He attended some summer basketball events last year in Texas, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Since those camps he has received interest from Utah, Denver, Marquette, Wichita State, Washington, and Oral Roberts. He averages 11.4 points a game on the hardwood and says that he does not favor one sport over another.

"I really like them both. If I could play both in college that would be great, but I would be fine playing either one by itself."

On the field Levy feels his greatest strengths are his route-running, ability to get open, and quick cuts.

Head Coach Dave Logan at Mullen says of Levy, "He is a very quick athlete and is also the starting point guard for the basketball team. He may get some looks there. He has great hand-eye coordination. He gets in and out of his cuts very quick."

Derrick likes many things about CU.

"It is close to home and I know a lot of people that go there. It is the best program in Colorado. My Mother also graduated from there."

Levy will join a few of his teammates in Boulder on Saturday for the annual CU junior day.

He carries a 3.0 core GPA and is signed up for both tests. He would like to major in Marketing.
