Cody Jones is being recruited on upside at the TE spot as he has never played the position before. "Coach Wristen came to the school and spoke with my coach," said Jones. "I called him that night and he told me that he is impressed with me and that they want to see me play tight end. Most schools are saying that they want to see me play at tight end before offering me."

This is because Cody was a quarterback at Sabino last year and a first team all-region one at that. He passed for 916 yards and 13 touchdowns, with only three picks.

Last month, Jones received calls from UCLA, CU, Colorado State, Arizona State, Utah, Cal, Dartmouth, Columbia, Purdue, and Duke.

His top five list has changed. "I like Purdue, Duke, Colorado, San Diego State, and Utah. Purdue is my top school right now."

Cody has been keeping up on CU's current situation. "I am glad that Gary Barnett is back. I like him and think he is a good coach."

Jones will attend CU's one-day camp July 31st and will also make it to Arizona's one-day camp June 19th and part of Arizona State's main camp. "I'll go there for a couple days between June 7th and the 9th."

He plans to take most of his official visits this fall before deciding on a school. His parents are said to have no preference on where he attends.
