"When I called Coach Watson, he was just telling me what they had done with Riar and how they really like him as a tight end after seeing him at the camp," said Wiedeman. "They told me a while back that they were not going to offer players until (Gary) Barnett got back. I hope to go through the paperwork while I am there."
Brian now has a clear-cut top three.
So if he does receive that CU offer, will he jump on it?
"I actually do think I will commit when I am up there. That is my plan after speaking with them."
Wiedeman re-iterated that CU is where his family would like to see him go.
He could not attend the CU one-day camp last week because his team was doing a camp at Nebraska-Kearney. He also recently went to the Kansas State camp and believes the Wildcats are close to offering after seeing him. Brian made his presence felt at the Oregon Nike Combine a few days ago as well, displaying one of the best pro agility scores of the day.
Wiedeman says the Buffs are after him the hardest. The Buffalo Sports News will catch up with him after his unofficial visit to Boulder to find out if he does indeed commit.
