Buffs Suspend Defensive Lineman

The University of Colorado has suspended 6-foot-4, 280-pound sophomore Matt McChesney indefinitely from the team.

The suspension includes CU's yet to be determined bowl game as well as the team's senior banquet Sunday in Denver.

McChesney was issued a summons on Monday night for underage possession of alcohol and criminal mischief. The charges are a direct violation of CU team rules.

McChesney has racked up 29 tackles, 18 solo and two QB sacks as well as a fumble recovery in 12 games this season. He has made two starts this season and has played both defensive end and tackle.

It looks as if Sam Wilder will move up and replace McChesney.
