The University of Colorado Summer camp was the last camp that Taj attended over the Summer. "I've been in the weight room all Summer," Taj said. However, the CU camp wasn't his only recruiting foray. Taj took an unofficial visit to Kansas State this past weekend at the request of the KState coaches. According the Kaynor, "I liked it a lot. I talked to coaches and had a real good visit. The coaches want me to take an official visit after the season. They said they would talk about offering me at that time."
The other two schools showing Taj the most recruiting attention are Kansas and CU. "Kansas has been sending me a lot of stuff lately." As for the Buffs, Taj said that he's visited Boulder a "few times" this Summer. "I had a slight grade problem. CU told me that I need a 2.5 GPA before they'll offer. I took Summer school and should have my GPA up by the end of the first semester. I'm going to be an NCAA qualifier with no problems. It's just the 2.5 GPA that CU needs that I'm working on."
Does Kaynor have a favorite at this point? "I like CU a lot. I really like Coach (defensive line coach Chris) Wilson. I like his intensity." According to Kaynor, CU has discussed possibly putting him in a JC for a year or two. However, Kaynor thinks his grades will be fine and would rather not go the JC route.
Kaynor previously indicated that he was hearing from Colorado State. When asked if they were still making contact, Kaynor replied, "Yeah, Coach Lubick is a real friendly guy."
Finally, Taj indicated, "I'm looking forward to that period when coaches can call you again. I've been getting some mail from Notre Dame, Oregon, some others. I'm interested to see what coaches call when they are allowed to make contact again."
