"The main schools I am considering are CU, Kansas State, and Oregon," said Duren. "I also kind of like Colorado State. All of them have told me that they want to see the first three games of my senior year and then an offer could be coming."

Jake says that Kansas State is recruiting him the hardest and the Wildcats are his current favorite. "The KSU coaches told me that they are slim on linebackers and they could use someone like me."

Duren visited Manhatten unofficially just a few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed his trip.

Over the summer he attended the Oregon four-day camp and Nike Combine, in addition to the CU camps and MSL Combine.

He says all schools are recruiting him as a linebacker and his parents do not have a preference. Duren carries a 3.0 core GPA and is awaiting his ACT score.

Mullen gets their season kicked-off against Bear Creek this Friday.
