CA QB Now Very High on Colorado

The Colorado staff called recently and told him they are still very interested and want to see his college game in Boulder. Jason has CU near the top in his latest list.

"Well, I just got off the phone with Coach Meyer at Utah and I am liking them a lot right now," said Forcier. "They are close to the top for me and probably at the top.

"I was real impressed with them the first game and what they did with Alex Smith. The fact that he passed for 300 yards and ran for over 100 tells me a lot about their offense. I think they could be a perennial power within the next five years and I believe that Coach Meyer really wants to build them into a national power."

Jason did not get a chance to view CU's first game, but did hear about. "I heard about it. They won, didn't they? I am going to have to get out there to watch one of their games this fall. Coach Cabral called me last week and I am really high on Colorado, too. I will definitely take a visit there. They told me they have Patrick Devenny committed but they are looking to take one more guy to compete with him."

Jason now has written offers from CU, UTEP, Wisconsin, Illinois, BYU, Wyoming, and Utah. "I am not sure about Illinois and Wisconsin, anymore," he explains. "I think they each took a quarterback and only want one this class. Also, San Diego State told me that they did not plan on taking a quarterback in this class but if I wanted to come there they would take me in a heartbeat."

Arizona State, Michigan, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington are the other schools he likes besides the Utes and Buffs. "Oregon, Indiana, Arizona State, and Washington all told me they will be watching my first two games to decide on offers. Michigan had stopped recruiting me for a while but they are back recruiting me again."

He has not scheduled any visits yet.

St. Augustine faces El Capitan High School this Friday in their first game.
