"UTEP offered me in writing and I am taking a visit there this weekend," said Stevens. "I still like most of the same schools and am open to anyone."

He will be joined on the visit by teammate, and fellow Buff prospect, Brandis Dew.

The schools that are currently on his list include Colorado, Nebraska, UCLA, UTEP, USC, Idaho, and Nevada. The schools to call since the 1st of September include BYU, Idaho, Idaho State, San Diego State, UTEP, Nevada, and UCLA. Idaho has offered him verbally.

Stevens will be starting both ways for Hemet this fall. In the first game in a win over Palm Springs, he had five tackles and an assist on a sack.

UTEP is his only official visit scheduled. He plans on going to games at USC, UCLA, and San Diego State before the season is over.

Hemet takes on Indio tomorrow night.
