"I have just always liked them," says Lacey of Colorado. "I liked the way they handled the whole scandal situation and kept everything positive. They didn't get charged with anything."
He is being recruited to CU by Coach Gilmore. "I have heard form him about three times this month. He just tells me how he thinks I could fit into the program and stuff like that."
Lacey has written offers from Texas Christian, Southern Methodist, Tulsa, CU, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Missouri. "I like Colorado, Oklahoma State, Kansas, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Missouri. Colorado is my favorite."
The corner/receiver prospect missed his first two games with a high ankle sprain and came back last week to rush for 106 yards and one touchdown. "I have not played any defense yet. Schools tell me I can play at corner or receiver for them. Colorado likes me at corner."
He says that Purdue and Kansas are recruiting the hardest.
Naaman Forest Head Coach Bill Patterson says of Lacey, "He has great speed and athletic ability. He can really turn his hips and run with the best of em'."
He has not scheduled any official visits yet. "I will take one in our off week and the rest after the season. That is my plan."
Naaman Forest is 1-3 on the season and takes on Lakeview, tonight.
