"I am actually the one that turned Jacob on to Colorado," explained Edwards. "I told him how much I liked them and he hadn't really even thought about them yet. Now we are both pretty excited about Colorado. We are 'roll-dogs' and we are always together. Us, and a couple other guys. Jacob is a great player and we would really like to play together in college. That would be great."

The free safety says that he has offers from Florida, Texas, Texas Christian, Southern Methodist, CU, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Alabama. "I think I would like to go out-of-state. I mean, I do like a couple of Texas schools but it is kind of tempting to leave."

His favorites right now are Florida, Arkansas, Texas, Miami, CU, and TCU.

Coach Gilmore is after Edwards and Lacey for the Buffs, and they have heard from him a couple times this month. "I have spoken with him twice, In fact, I need to call him back sometime this week."

He mentions what he sees in CU. "I haven't been to visit yet, but I want to go. They have been sending me a lot of info and they also sent me a picture of their stadium. I could see myself playing in a place like that."

On the season, through five games, Edwards has 65 tackles, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles. He also has an 80-yard kickoff return and a 40-yard punt return. On offense, he has five catches for 40 yards.

The defensive back has yet to schedule any official visits. He carries a 3.0 core GPA and is taking his SAT, October 9th. Edwards would like to major in Business Management.

Naaman Forest is 1-4 on the season and takes on Lakeview, this Friday.
