"Texas A&M is my top school and Colorado is number two," said Sampson. "I also like Texas and just about anywhere in the SEC. Georgia and LSU sound good to me."

What puts CU in the second spot on his list? "They seem like they have a great environment. They also have a great football program. I haven't learned about their academics, yet."

CU coach Chris Wilson went by Lancaster High recently to speak with Terry and corner prospect, Chad Washington. "Chad and I would like to go to school together and we have talked about Colorado. Him and I have become kind of close since I started school here. I know he is a guy that is headed in the right direction and I like people like that and want to be around people like that.

"The Colorado coach said that he would be giving me a call this week."

Sampson does not have any offers yet, but that could change when he gets his test score. "I have a 3.0 core GPA and I am taking my SAT in November."

The Buffs have a little catching up to do with the Aggies if they want to become the RB's number one choice. "Texas A&M is showing me a lot of interest. They are after me harder than anyone. After them, I'd say Arkansas and Missouri are showing the most attention."

Sampson has put up the aforementioned numbers this year despite a bum ankle. "My coach has been resting me a little because of a sprained ankle. He wants me ready for district."

If he does not play running back in college, he is open to other positions. "I will play anywhere that gets me on the field. I played corner and safety as a sophomore and junior."

The Lancaster product does what is best for the team. "I am a team player who is not selfish. I can catch well and think I'm a good athlete."

Sampson has not scheduled any official visits. He would like to major in Communications.
