"If I had to pick three favorites they would be Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas," says Thomas. "I am originally from Oklahoma since I went to Norman High School as a freshman before moving to Claremont. But, I am not really hearing too much from those three schools. I have spoken with Colorado once on the phone, that's it."

What does he like about the Buffs? "They have nice weather there and the area that surrounds the campus is real cool."

The main schools he is hearing from are the ones that have offered; Oregon State, Boise State, Wyoming, and Nevada.

Thomas has not scheduled any visits yet. "I have not set any of those up and I probably will here soon. The schools that are recruiting me the hardest are Boise State, Wyoming, and Washington so I might visit those three."

As a junior, he posted 101 tackles, three forced fumbles, and three interceptions on his way to being named first team all-league, valley, and CIF.

This season for 4-2 Claremont, he has 79 tackles and two sacks.

Thomas describes himself as a player. "I never give up on a play and I remain focused all the time."

He carries a 2.5 core GPA and will take his SAT November 9th. The linebacker is undecided on a major.
