"Recruiting is going great - it's still the same schools," explained Washington. "I would consider myself a soft commit to Mizzu and I still have interest in schools like Texas Christian, Colorado, Kansas, Texas A&M, and Oklahoma State.

"I have offers from Kansas and Colorado. TCU told me they were going to have an offer for me real soon."

Washington has been staying in close contact with CU defensive line coach Chris Wilson. "Colorado is still after me the hardest. Coach Wilson is just telling me what kind of things they have to offer and we are trying to figure out a date I can visit there. I know that Kansas wants me to visit in December and I think the Colorado visit would also come after the season."

Washington has watched CU play Missouri and Colorado State this fall.

He has two forced fumbles on the year and an interception returned 90 yards for a touchdown. The Lancaster corner is not sure how many tackles he has but knows it is "a lot".

His squad is 2-1 in district play and 5-3 overall. They play Corsicana this Friday.
