"I am pretty sure my dad has scheduled visits to Illinois, Kansas State, UCLA, and Arizona State for me," explained the Colorado Springs star. "I am not sure when the exact dates are but I think most of them are in December. I was supposed to go to Arizona State last weekend but I forgot that we had a game on Saturday instead of Friday so we had to cancel it. I have written offers from Colorado, Kansas State, Illinois, Wyoming, and Arizona State."

Dewitty has not really cut down his list to a final five despite the school-specific visits. "I like Arizona State, Kansas State, UCLA, Wyoming, Missouri, and Kansas. I will figure out who my leader is after my visits."

Does he have any interest in Colorado? "Yeah, I still do, they are even with those other schools."

The running back/safety prospect claims that he hears from CU every week and he speaks with many coaches on the staff. He visited Boulder for the North Texas game. "I might use my last trip to visit there, maybe."

Dewitty has rushed for over 1,700 yards this fall for 6-2 Doherty. "I think I am averaging over eight yards a carry."

That doesn't mean he'll be playing in the offensive backfield in college. "Most schools are recruiting me as an athlete. I would not have a problem playing safety."

He carries a 3.0 core GPA and has already scored a 19 on his ACT, but will take it again in December. He also might still take the SAT.

Doherty takes on Ponderosa, this Friday.
