Greer Torn Between Four

Colorado always takes at least one running back a class and they have yet to fill that void this cycle. Maurice Greer was the first running back CU offered for the class of '05 and the Colorado staff is still pursuing him. "I was supposed to go to that game but it was hard for me because I like both schools," explained Greer. "I wouldn't have been able to decide which side to sit on so I just thought it was best that I didn't go at all."

Greer has written offers from the Buffs, Wildcats, Arizona State, and Colorado State. "I like Kansas State, CU, ASU, and Michigan State the most. Michigan State has been showing a lot of attention lately. I am really kind of torn between those four."

He has visits scheduled with ASU on December 17th and Michigan State, January 14th. Greer will have to re-schedule his trip to Manhattan since he is re-taking his ACT, December 11th. "I need to schedule a different trip date with Kansas State. I really doubt I will schedule an official trip with Colorado since I have been up there so many times. The last time I spoke with Coach Barnett or Wristen was about a month ago."

Heading into last night's win over Poudre in the playoffs, Greer had over 1,400 yards and 20 touchdowns on the season. In last week's playoff game against Fairview he rushed for 211 yards and six touchdowns.

Greer needs a test score to qualify and currently carries a 2.5 core GPA.
