"After the offer, Colorado is my number one school now," said Kaynor. "I am real excited about getting that offer and having my scholarship situation taken care of. I spoke with Coach Wristen on Wednesday night and they said they were sending the offer on Friday."

Kaynor currently weighs in at 245 and says the CU coaches said they see him at a playing weight of 275. "They like me as a defensive end."

He has 80 tackles, five sacks, four passes broken up, and one fumble recovery on the season. Cherry Creek enters the semi-finals of the 5A state playoffs this Saturday versus Columbine.

CU is Kaynor's lone offer but he is still receiving interest from other Big 12 schools. "I am still talking to Kansas and Kansas State and I plan on visiting both of those schools before committing. K-State is right behind Colorado for me."

Just when does he think a commitment could happen? "I will think about recruiting as soon as my season is over. I will probably make a decision shortly after taking my trips."

The d-end still has a little work to do in the classroom before making his college plans. Kaynor is carrying a 2.4 core GPA and will be taking both of his tests in the near future.
