"We are playing Nevada Union on Saturday," said Devenny. "They are a team we beat on their home field earlier in the season and a team we always have competitive games with. If we beat them then we will play Stockton St. Mary's or Stockton Franklin in the championship game."
St. Mary's has a familiar face on their team that Devenny is looking forward to hopefully playing. "Me and William Tuitama (Arizona commit) work out together on the weekends so I hope we can play St. Mary's."
The two are tutored by the same quarterbacks coaching guru, Roger Theder.
The future Buff got a surprise in the mail last week. "Nevada offered me and I am from Reno. I like the coaches there and I think they are on the right path. But, growing up in Reno I can tell you that I would rather spend the next four years of my life in Boulder."
On the season, Devenny has thrown for 1,790 yards and 20 touchdowns for a 60 percent completion rate. He has thrown six interceptions.
Coach Borbely will be visiting his home in about two weeks.
He gives his thoughts on the Buffs game tomorrow night versus Oklahoma. "It seems like a common thing for CU to be playing in the Big 12 title game. This is another big-time opportunity for them."
In a call to the Devenny household before catching up with Patrick on his cell phone, The BSN spoke with Devenny's mother for a minute. She said, "We're ready for the Buffs!"
We'll keep CU fans updated on Granite Bay's playoff run.
