"Coach Borbely came for an in-home visit on Monday," said Moriarty. "Colorado likes me as an athlete and most likely a safety. I am very excited to visit there this weekend and see what the program is about.

"I like the Big 12 and I like the schedule that Colorado plays. They have Miami next year and Florida State in three years. Plus, they always play Oklahoma and Texas. I have family in Grand Junction and I know the campus is beautiful."

CU has not offered Moriarty but that could change real soon. "They tell me that I could be getting one. If they do offer then they will jump to number one or two on my list depending on what happens with UNLV. I am supposed to visit UNLV next weekend, but it depends on if my recruiting coach is still going to have his job."

Notre Dame is another school that has been heavily involved. "They were supposed to come for an in-home visit the week that Willingham got fired. I am still hearing from one of their coaches, but I am not sure how long he'll be around."

UNLV is his only current offer.

Moriarty had a very good season despite his team's poor 3-7 record. He threw for 1,100 yards, eight touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also rushed for 600 yards and eight touchdowns. Moriarty only got in on defense for one game and had six tackles (two for loss), three passes blocked, and one interception.

He carries a 3.6 core GPA and scored a 1020 on his SAT.

The Buffalo Sports News will catch up with him after the visit for his thoughts.
