Texas RB Plans Visit to CU (free content)

Colorado would like to take at least one running back this year. That has been their intention every recruiting class over the past few cycles. A player they are looking at is Tony Anderson from Arlington, TX. He may visit in January.

"I was supposed to visit Colorado this weekend, but they called to push it back," explained Anderson. "I might visit there on January 14th now, but we'll see. I like Colorado because they use big backs and run a lot out of the 'I' formation. They have put out a lot of great running backs."

Anderson rushed for 1,500 yards and 15 touchdowns as a junior. He also had 87 receiving yards. He suffered a broken leg at the beginning of the season and finished with 310 yards and two touchdowns. "It is at about 90 percent now. I will make a full recovery."

Arlington finished the season at 1-9. "It was one of the worst seasons we have ever had here. It was unfortunate that I couldn't play most of it, but I think they could have used more help than just me."

Anderson's sole written offer is from Baylor. "I am visiting there on January 21st. I was going to visit SMU, but they picked up a running back so they are not after me anymore. I was hearing from Notre Dame and Utah, but since the coaching changes happened I am not sure what is going on. "

All schools involved like him as a running back.
