Phoenix LB/FB Has Family in Colorado

Keaton Kristick looks to be one of Arizona's top players next fall. He put up great numbers on both sides of the ball as a junior. Last summer, he earned the "Trojan Ball" MVP award at USC's summer camp for the top player in a seven-on-seven tournament they held. CU is one of his early five favorites. His entire family lives in Colorado.

"My whole family lives around the Denver area," explained Kristick. "I could see myself playing out there and being close to them."

As a junior, he had 117 tackles (27 for losses), six sacks, eight hurries, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. On offense, he had 850 yards rushing and nine touchdowns. Kristick also caught 17 passes for 230 yards and a touchdown. He was named first team all-conference and honorable mention all-state on defense. He earned second team all-region honors on offense.

So what position does he want to play in college? "My coaches think that I will end up as an outside linebacker. It does not matter to me what side of the ball I play on."

He breaks down his greatest attributes. "I feel my strengths are my ability to make plays all around the field and the desire to change the game. I work very hard and I am good at following through on my tackles."

Besides Colorado, he is looking at Kansas, USC, Notre Dame, and Cal. "I don't have a favorite right now. I need to learn more about all the schools I am looking at. I would like to stay along the west coast, if possible. I like the Pac Ten a lot."

Kristick's father went to Northern Illinois. He says he will likely attend three to four summer camps.

He carries a 3.2 core GPA and will be taking a test in June. Kristick would like to major in Business.
