Arizona Corner High on the Buffs

Maryvale High School in Phoenix has a lot of talent his year. Brantwon Bowser is a player from the school who is expected to get a lot of attention. Arizona State became the first school to extend a written offer to him last week. Bowser, like his teammates, also has interest in the Colorado program.

"I am going to be working on my hands a lot this summer," explained Bowser. "I like the way that Colorado mixes up the pass with the run. If I were to play on offense, it would be a good place to go. It depends on where I go to school on what position I'll play."

Bowser will likely be recruited as corner, but he will see spot-duty at receiver this fall and he could turn some heads after he shows what he can do with the ball in his hands. As a junior, he recorded two interceptions and one blocked punt. He is unsure of how many tackles he accumulated. Bowser was named second team all-region.

Arizona tops his list of early favorites. "I went to their junior day and I really liked the facilities and how they run the program. They also have a great weight room. I do not have a lot to compare them to right now because it is the only place I have checked out. But, from what I saw I was impressed."

Bowser also lists Arizona State, Michigan, Texas Tech, Oregon, and UCLA as schools he has interest in that have shown interest in him.

He is a fast player that is driven. "I have very good speed. Every time I step on the field it is great motivation for me to succeed."

Bowser says he will attend one of the UA camps and an ASU camp. He may also attend a camp at Texas Tech.

He carries a 2.5 core GPA and will be taking the SAT on March 12th. Bowser is undecided on a major.
