"Colorado has a pretty good school," says Chris Smith. "I know they offer a good education there."

Smith says that he may camp in Boulder this summer. The Buffs are currently trailing three other schools. "I like Georgia Tech, Purdue and Michigan State. Georgia Tech is my favorite because my mom lives In Georgia and I wouldn't mind being close to her again."

As a junior, he threw for 296 yards and six touchdowns. He ran for two touchdowns.

"I throw the ball well. I am a good leader and I make plays when they are needed."

Montbello head coach Oliver Lucas says of Smith, "He is a big-time player. He is mechanically sound and is really maturing. Chris is also a basketball player so he has never focused totally on football, but if he does he'll be special."

Smith plays small forward where he is averaging 11.7 points a game this season.

In addition to possibly attending the CU summer camp, Smith will be attending the Iowa State camp with his team.

He carries a 2.0 core GPA and is taking the ACT in April. Smith would like to major in Business.
