Coach Hagan has been after him for the Buffs. "He has just written and told me to think about them and that they are building towards a national title."

Hayes is currently listing many schools; Arizona State, USC, CU, Florida, Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas, and UCLA. "USC and Arizona State are my favorites. I also really like Texas."

As a junior, he had 100 pancake blocks and did not allow a sack. On defense, he saw spot-duty at defensive tackle and recorded 22 tackles, 20 of which were for losses. He also had one sack. Hayes was named first team all-league, all-conference and all-state underclass.

"I work hard and I want to be one of the best. I am a very competitive person."

He carries a 2.4 core GPA and will be taking both the ACT and SAT very soon. Hayes would like to major in Business or Finance.
