CU to Guthrie: We Need Jackrabbits

Colorado is recruiting Long Beach Poly High School harder than it ever has with the new appointment of coach <b>Darian Hagan</b>. <b>Troy Guthrie</b> is yet another Jackrabbit Hagan has targeted for this recruiting cycle. As a junior, he rushed 150 times for 1,442 yards and 21 touchdowns. Guthrie was named first team all-league and CIF.

"I am a power runner that is very agile," said Troy Guthrie. "I can run at you and break tackles or run around you with my speed."

The tailback does not have any offers yet, but he is hearing from many schools. "My top choices are Washington, Washington State, UCLA, Cal, Miami, Oregon, Tennessee, and Colorado.

"I don't really know too much about Colorado but Coach Hagan has been sending me letters telling me a lot of stuff. The main thing he says is that Colorado needs some Jackrabbits."

Washington State is his favorite team.

Guthrie has not decided what summer camps he'll be going to.

He carries a 2.4 core GPA and will take the SAT soon. Guthrie would like to major in Business.
