"I have written offers from Colorado, Nebraska and Texas Tech," said Josh Holmes. "Colorado was the first school to offer me. I have verbal offers from UCLA and Utah."

Only one of these schools is in his top seven. "My top schools are Florida State, Miami, USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Michigan. Florida State is my number one choice."

Colorado is not out of the current running, but is on the outside looking in. "I like the staff and coaches that I have spoken with at Colorado. I am looking forward to taking an official visit there."

As a junior, Holmes had 109 tackles (18 for loss), 14 sacks, eight passes broken up, four fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles, one blocked field goal, and one safety. On offense, he had four touchdowns at tight end. Holmes was named first team all-league. "I get off the ball well and I have the speed to go sideline-to-sideline. I pride myself on being a great pass rusher."

He is unsure of his summer camp plans at this time. Holmes carries a 3.0 core GPA and is scheduled to take the SAT in June. He would like to major in Business.
