Colorado Looking at Big Back

Ever since Chris Brown left for the NFL, Colorado has missed the presence of a big back that can pound the ball on a consistent basis. They are taking a hard look at one of the best big backs in the country this recruiting cycle, Justin Robertson. The Lakewood High star believes that CU is about to offer, and the Buffs are very high on his current list.

"Everything is going good with recruiting right now," said Justin Roberson. "Colorado has given me a verbal offer and now they are just waiting on my transcripts and for me to take the SAT, May 7th.

"I love Coach Hagan at Colorado. Him and I have been e-mailing a lot and I have also been hearing from Coach Simms. They recently sent me a card saying they want to offer me. Colorado is a school I have always liked a lot, but since they have been showing me so much attention I like them even more. They say they need a big back like me and that I could compete for playing time as a freshman. I might love it out there when I take my trip."

Robertson admits that playing time is a big factor for him. "Playing early is a big factor for me if I am going to get good exposure for the NFL. That is my ultimate goal."

As a junior, he rushed for 953 yards and 12 touchdowns on 185 carries. Robertson was named first team all-league and CIF.

Joining the Buffs on his favorites list are Cal, Oregon, UCLA, and USC. "I have no leaders. They are all the same right now."

Robertson will be attending the L.A. combine, May 14th. "That is the only camp I am attending as of now. I am preparing for it everyday."
