Buffs After Tevaga the Hardest

The Buffs recently offered Dominguez HS athlete, Richard Sherman, and do not be surprised if they offer offensive tackle, Sonny Tevaga, in the near future. Tevaga has incredible strength and he is a player at a major need position for CU.

Height: 6-5
Weight: 330
40 time: 5.7
Bench: 350
Squat: 450
Clean: 315
From: Compton, California
High School: Dominguez

Sonny Tevaga transferred from La Mirada HS in La Mirada, California before his junior season at Dominguez. Due to CIF rules, he had to sit out his junior year so has not stepped foot on the gridiron in two years. "I kind of got a bad deal from the CIF, so I was very upset I could not play. I will be ready for this year."

Tevaga feels he can do it all. "I can pass block and run block - I do everything. I also have real good feet."

He is the younger brother of UCLA sophomore, Shannon Tevaga. "I have always been a Bruins fan. I grew up liking them and have always wanted to go there."

It is no surprise that the Bruins are at the top of his list. "They are my favorite. I also like USC, Oregon, Arizona, and Utah."

He has no offers to date.

The school recruiting him the hardest is a no-show on this leader board. "Colorado is definitely showing me the most attention. I am looking at them, but I might like to stay in the Pac Ten."

Coach Hagan is after him for the Buffs. This summer, Tevaga will be attending the Scout.com All-American Combine in L.A., May 14th, and the Arizona one-day camp. Teammates Sherman Miles and Richard Sherman will be joining him in Tucson.
