CU Going Back Into Loyola for O-Lineman

Colorado recruited big athlete George Hypolite out of Loyola High School in Los Angeles last fall, and now they are back at Loyola looking at an offensive lineman. Jonathan Summers has already taken an unofficial visit to Boulder this spring and he is currently very high on the Buffs. He is an offensive tackle which is a major need position for CU this cycle.

Loyola does not keep stats for O-lineman, but Summers felt he had a good junior season and he even scored a touchdown. "Our quarterback fumbled the ball so I picked it up and ran it in," said Jonathan Summers.

He took many visits over spring break with his father. "We went to Washington, Colorado, Colorado State, Oregon, and Oregon State. I like all of those schools, plus you can add Boston College and Indiana. It is still early, so I am open to all of them and don't have any leaders."

His father is fond of Washington as he attended school there.

Summers has no offers to date.

He claims to be getting the most interest from Indiana, Boston College, CU, and Stanford. Coach Borbely is after him for the Buffs. "I met with the coaches when I was in Boulder and they were really nice. I also liked the players I met. I went to a practice and loved the atmosphere and team untiy they have."

Summers speaks of the kind of player he is. "I am always watching film. I always scout the other teams to see what they like to do before we play. I always do my best and I work hard."

He carries a 3.3 core GPA and scored an 1830 on the SAT (out of the new 2400 score). He would like to major in Business and Engineering.
