Colorado the First to Call Hayes

The last time the BSN spoke with Jovon Hayes, he said that Colorado had indicated they would be offering soon. According to Hayes, that offer recently came. In fact, he says many offers have found their way to his home. The Buffs are on his favorites' list.

"USC is still my number one school," said Jovon Hayes. "After them, in order, I like Arizona, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Colorado, and Michigan."

Hayes says that he now has written offers from Arizona, Baylor, Colorado, Oklahoma, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Kansas State, and Michigan. "Arizona is recruiting me the hardest. I get about ten letters from them every other day. They sent me a Birthday card and also sent my mom a Mother's Day card. Michigan, LSU and Colorado also sent Mother's Day cards."

Colorado was the first school to call Hayes. CU staffer Darian Hagan did so on the first day allowable, May 1st. "I was pretty happy to get that call. Coach Hagan tells me that they really need me out there."

He has since spoken with Arizona, Florida, Kansas State, USC, and LSU. "USC has talked about offering but they have not done it yet."

Hayes will attempt to make camps at Arizona, Oregon and USC this summer.
