Colorado Offers Cody Anderson

New CU staffer Darian Hagan is starting to get things going in the Grand Canyon State. Colorado became the first BCS school to offer Cody Anderson after he had received a handful of offers from mid-majors. Chances are that the AZ in-state schools could be following in CU's path soon as the tight end/defensive end impressed at Arizona State's camp last week and will be at Arizona for a workout today. CU is one of the big athlete's top three schools.

"I have offers now from UTEP, Wyoming, Colorado, Colorado State, San Diego State, and Utah," explained Cody Anderson. "I am really open to all schools, but I would say my top three are Colorado, Colorado State and Utah. I do not have a favorite."

CU offered him two weeks ago. "They sent me the offer and then I spoke with Coach Hagan a few days later. He asked me what I thought about the offer and what I thought about Colorado. He asked me how interested I was in them and I told him I was very interested. He also asked me what position I wanted to play for them and then said that they would recruit me as a tight end, but if they needed me more for defense when I got there I could play on defense. I like defense a little better, but it really doesn't matter."

It sounds like CU may be getting a little help in the Anderson home. "My dad likes CU and he also likes CSU. My mom is open to all schools right now."

The Buffs and Utes are recruiting the hardest. Anderson will be at UA for a workout, today. "Coach (Mike) Stoops wants to get me there and see what I can do. I have been a fan of UA's for a long time - mainly a basketball fan. If they offered me a scholarship, they would be up there with my favorites."

The only other camp plan for the big athlete as of now is the Washington State camp next week.
