Devin Ross Receives CU Offer (free content)

Devin Ross is considered by many to be the top cornerback prospect in California this fall. He is up to 14 offers now and recently received one from the Buffaloes' staff. Ross is good friends with Darian Hagan Jr. and is being recruited by Hagan Sr. to CU. The corner says that him and the elder Hagan speak all the time.

Devin Ross now has written offers from Oklahoma, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Nebraska, Oregon, Oregon State, Michigan State, Tennessee, Purdue, Boise State, Colorado, and Colorado State. "My most recent one came from Colorado last week," he said. "I don't really have any favorites. I am trying to narrow it down, so I am looking at certain things.

"I will be looking at the coaching staff, the history of where they came from, the best facilities, and the area around the school. I will also be looking at what the players on each team are like."

Ross will not give any hints on where he is leaning, but it seems that two schools are safely entrenched in his final five. "I have a visit scheduled to Nebraska (09/02) and I will be setting one up with Oklahoma."

The Sooners have caught his eye over the past few years. "Growing up, I really didn't have a favorite team, but lately I have been liking Oklahoma and watching them."

The Buffs may have a shot at a visit. "My friend's dad coaches there and he recently sent me an offer. Him and I talk all the time and he tells me about the team and the players. He tells me he thinks it would be a good place for me. With Colorado, I just need to research the staff and the players a little more."

Ross has not been to any summer camps, but will soon be taking unofficial visits to Washington, Oregon and Oregon State.

He carries a 3.2 core GPA and is taking the SAT in October.
