D-Tackle Has Colorado Offer (free content)

Defensive tackles are at a premium for the Colorado staff once again this recruiting cycle. The top d-tackles around the nation have been very elusive the last several years. And once again the CU staff will be trying to change that frequent trend. They recently sent an offer to Garland, Texas standout Brandon Antwine in hopes that he would show a little love towards Boulder. What was the result of the offer? We find out what Antwine's thoughts are regarding CU.

As a junior, Brandon Antwine was named defensive lineman of the year for his league and was selected first team all-district. Garland also tabbed him as their top weightlifter on the squad. "I am smart and aggressive. The game moves in slow-motion for me. I know what is going to happen before it does."

What is happening in Antwine's recruitment is tremendous. He claims to now have 48 written offers. "Some of the bigger schools that have offered me are USC, Florida, Miami, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Auburn, and Georgia. USC, Florida and OU are my favorites. I would put USC as my leader."

CU has also offered Antwine and he had this to say about the Buffs, "I like them a little bit - not too much. I speak with coach (Bill) Inge every once in a while."

The defensive tackle plans on leaving Texas for school. He will not be attending anymore camps this summer.

Antwine carries a 3.2 core GPA and scored a 19 on the ACT. He would like to major in Business Management.
