"I do not have a leader, but I'd say my top three are Colorado, Colorado State and Wyoming," said Josh Chavez. "I also like Michigan State, Oregon and Oregon State. My mom lives in Portland so I wouldn't mind going to school up there."
Chavez is born and raised in Pueblo. He was set to attend the Colorado one-day camp on July 31st, but won't be able to make it. "I am going to visit my mom. Plus, I already went to CU's 7-on-7 passing tournament. They asked me to come back the next day and do some more workouts."
CU and CSU are apparently recruiting the quarterback the hardest. "Both of them have talked about offering to my coach. Coach Wristen at CU tells me they will be watching me this year."
All schools involved like Chavez as a signal caller.
The quarterback previously told Scout.com about his strengths and what he could improve upon. "I can make plays out of nothing, especially with my feet, and I buy time in the pocket well. I want to run the ball more and get my rushing yards up, and I want to work on my arm strength and accuracy. I could always get better at just about everything."
