Buffs Now Lead After Offering Lakewood Lineman

Bill Boyer was the beneficiary of a Colorado offer after his performance at Colorado's Big Man Camp. The offensive lineman from Green Mountain HS was previously favoring Colorado State, but the offer has changed things.

Height: 6-5
Weight: 295
From: Lakewood, Colorado
High School: Green Mountain

"I went to CU's camp and Coach (Dave) Borbely thought I did pretty well so he offered me verbally," explained Bill Boyer. "Then I got the written offer in the mail. I'd say Colorado is my top school now."

His parents do not claim a favorite.

The offensive lineman is also looking at Colorado State, Oklahoma, Michigan State, and Kansas State. "CU and Kansas State are probably sending me the most mail."

He only has one more summer camp planned. "I am going to Colorado State's camp on the 24th. I won't be going to CU's on the 31st."

Can a decision be expected any time soon? "I will probably wait until during my school year to decide. I want to see what other options come to me."

Boyer holds a 2.8 core GPA and scored an 18 on the ACT. He would like to major in Engineering or Culinary Arts.
