What is going on with Aubrey Quarles?

Aubrey Quarles was the top player at CU's elite camp at the end of July. Colorado has offered him and he favors the Buffs, but has some grade issues. It was rumored that he may have been transferring to Mullen High School. We get the scoop.

"No, I am not going to Mullen," Aubrey Quarles puts the rumor to rest. "I am staying at Grandview and should be playing in four weeks. I have to get a couple of classes cleared up before I am elgible. But, I am practicing with the team right now."

Quarles is not only trying to get elgible to play at Grandview, but he is trying to graduate by December to head to Boulder. "I have been talking to Coach Wristen about graduating early and getting there for the spring. We have to get stuff worked out to see if that can happen. I am taking classes over the internet and at school to try to do it."

Colorado is still the only offer for Quarles at this point. "I moved from home so a lot of schools probably don't know how to get a hold of me. I would still like to take a couple visits if I can, but CU is the only school I am talking to.

"I think they are my favorite school, but I would like to take a couple trips."

Quarles attended the CSU game and says he'll also be heading to Boulder for the New Mexico State game, this Saturday.
