Sherman Favors Two

Colorado needs recruit in this class at corner, safety and receiver and Richard Sherman fits all three bills. CU was the first school to offer him, and now he has many options. Currently, the Buffs look to be in a tough fight with Stanford for his services.

Richard Sherman says that every school recruiting him has said they will let him play wherever he wants when he arrives at their respective campuses. "They are letting me choose my position, but my guess is that I'll end up at corner because that will be the best shot I have at getting to the league. The league is looking for taller corners these days."

Since September 1st, he has received phone calls from Stanford, Oregon, Washington, Fresno State, Colorado, and Utah State. "Stanford was the first school to call me and then Colorado called me that night.

"Those are my top two right now. I also like Washington, UNLV, Nebraska, and Mississippi State. I just need to take my trips and decide aftter that."

Sherman says that his parents favor Stanford mainly because of academics.

The athlete broke his wrist over the summer but is now fully healed for the season.

He likes the fact that many of his teammates are also interested in Colorado. "Me, Jeron (Johnson) and Sonny (Tevaga) were talking about taking a trip there together - we'll see."

Sherman maintains a 4.0 core GPA and will be taking the SAT, again, on October 8th. He has a qualifying score, but has aspirations of a higher mark.
